The DUOLINE lining system is an innovative technology developed to maximise the performance and reliability of downhole tubing from corrosion. DUOLINE is a lining system in which a liner is inserted inside carbon steel tubing combining the high strength of steel with the inert properties of the liner to provide effective, long lasting corrosion protection. Currently in use by many operators in Australia Duoline has been used in water injectors, as a corrosion barrier and disposal wells.

Metal to Metal Seal Technology

An area of particular interest is metal-to-metal sealing. Caledyne have developed a wholly metal-to-metal fully retrievable seal element, which is retrofitable to industry standard downhole tools: including packers (permanent and retrievable), liner hangers, retrievable bridge plugs and cast iron bridge plugs. Currently seals are available in sizes 5\", 5.1/2\", 6.5/8\", 7\" and 9.5/8\", with more sizes under development. Most seals have been qualified to ISO 14310 level V3 which have been fitted to a number of downhole tools from various service companies. The seal is rapidly gaining market acceptance with the number of successful installations increasing on a daily basis, giving clear evidence that metal-to-metal sealing technologies are the way forward!
